Chiude TheMonkey’sBall, sito di App crakkate

TheMonkey’sBall comunica sul proprio sito la chiusura. Il sito era un contenitore di applicazioni modificate da usare nei propri iPhone.

Il sito era quasi una replica dell’AppStore, con quasi tutte le Ipa (formato che si scarica da iTunes) pronte da essere usate nei propri iPhone sbloccati. Bastava scaricae l’Ipa, caricarlo in iTunes e poi sincronizzare con iTunes.

Il sito era molto diffuso, come possiamo leggere dalla pagina ora visibile al posto dell’home page. Il sito aveva cominciato ad essere online nel settembre di questo anno. I visitatori unici finora sono stati ben 250,353. Le visite complessive sono state di 1,143,209, mentre il totale delle pagine viste è stato di 2,073,440. Sono traguardi che per qualunque sito sarebbero ottimi.

Apple ha provveduto a far rimuovere il sito. Questo è un bene per tutti gli utenti che non ne hanno fatto uso. E’ vero che sono comunque disponibili altri siti (che non possiamo citare) dove scaricare applicazioni crakkate, ma la diffusione di TheMonkey’sBall era davvero enorme.

Dopo poco dalla chiusura è stato segnalato un altro sito, ma anche quest’ultimo è al momento irrangiungibile. Il link non risulta neanche più essere su TheMonkey’sBall.

the distribution of cracked versions of iPhone games (the “Files”) sold

The Files are unauthorized reproductions of copyrighted material
distributed by Apple, and has been published without the permission of
Apple. Apple protects the applications sold on its website with digital
rights management technology that effectively controls access to and
copying of the applications. The publishers of this Files have
“cracked” that protection in violation of the anti-circumvention
measures of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C.
1201(a)(1)(A).
Apple therefore requests that you take steps to immediately disable this
website. Please notify me by reply e-mail once you have done so, and
feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
